Team EGBC Hotham
This program supports Australia’s top high performance athletes. Spear headed by World Cup Biathlete Darcie Morton who is firmly on track to achieve qualification to Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games (WOGs), athletes are intensively coached and train together over the winter at Hotham.
Where athletes are integrated into International teams EGBC will provide base support through distance coaching.

Athlete Team Program
Pathway athletes are provided with an annual training program and each week a weekly training program in both strength and conditioning which is developed in close consultation with EGBC’s experienced and qualified coaches. A weekly athlete / coach conference is provided to discuss and review training plans, guide and support the athlete and provide an opportunity to discuss technique etc. Registrations are now open via this link
On Snow EGBCHotham programs
Programs are run on snow at Mt Hotham over the winter where participants can train shooting and cross country skiing on snow on Australia’s only range above the snow line.
Users of the Hotham range need to be Biathlon Australia members and have an active Range Pass which can be purchased from https://www.biathlonaustralia.com.au/events

2028 Future Youth Olympians Squad:
EGBC successfully coached all 6 of the athletes who attended the Korean Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2024 which was lead by EGBC’s Head Coach Damon Mortin and now we are seeking to train the next potential Youth Olympians for Youth Olympics 2028. Bembooka Residential Camp / School Holiday Program – Sunday 6 – 11th July
EGBC is taking bookings for our annual residential camp and July School Holiday program at Bembooka Ski Club from Sunday 6 July to Friday 11th July. Limited accommodation is available at Bembooka Ski Club which is one of the most affordable on mountain accommodations. School holiday program participants can also source their own accommodation and participate flexibly in our week long school holiday program.

Elite Athlete in Schools Program
Our top athletes and coaches are available to speak and run practical workshops at local Primary and High Schools around biathlon, motivation, becoming an elite athlete and life skills.

Snowy Hot Shots
EGBC’s junior development program. All equipment including skis, rollerskis, poles and boots are provided for the year round program. EGBCHotham Snowy Hot Shots - Designed to enable local juniors to access weekly coaching, EGBC provides all equipment to participants including boots, poles, skis and laser or .22 rifle systems allowing for regular training and coaching in cross country skiing for local juniors. This program feeds into Interschools, competing in our laser biathlon series and progressing to our pathway programs.
Hotham Race Academy Cross training and Development Squads
EGBC squad trains in partnership with the Hotham Race Club as a way of exposing Hotham Race Club members to cross country skiing and aerobic cross training. As part of the reciprocal arrangement EGBC High Performance athletes use the Hotham race club for strength and conditioning under coach supervision.
Biathlon 4 All Abilities Program
Program for athlete’s of All Abilities is integrated into sessions. EGBC is seeking to support the National and Development Para Team on snow at Hotham. EGBC has secured support from Sport and Recreation Victoria to be a provider of programs for athletes of ‘All Abilities’. Our Biathlon 4 All Abilities (B4AA) program is embedded and integrated within all East Gippsland Biathlon Club’s (EGBC) participation, development and high performance programs to provide a pathway from participation to international competitions for para athletes and persons of ‘All Abilities’.
